Traditional bruschetta

  • In a mixing bowl, add in your finely chopped tomatoes, your chopped basil and the balsamic vinegar and the olive oil and mix well, without crushing the tomatoes to much
  • Next slice your 2 pieces of baguette or bread and lightly toast until crusty
  • Now layer your toppings from your mixing bowl on top of your bread, and finally season with salt and pepper

Serves 1


  • 2 slices of thick and crusty bread
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 2 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
